We have a new blue bin on wheels outside that is for recycling. The recycling company may not accept it. If not, we’ll need to go back to our other container. Please let me know if they don’t pick up our recycling in that container.
Please do not put any blankets, towels, etc. by the water heater and/or the dryer vent. This is a fire hazard.

Hi everyone,
I have the schedule done through June 16th. Thank you to everyone for being flexible with the schedule. I really appreciate it. I have only one doctor working May 15th and June 5th. Does anyone want to volunteer to take either of those days off? I’m ok if no one wants to but please realize there will be a lot of people here so I need everyone to stay busy by cleaning and/or getting some misc. things done.

It’s getting to be that time of year when people start planning vacations! Yay! Please be sure to get your time off in to me as soon as you know of dates that you will be requesting off. Two people have requested the week of April 8 off so we will not be able to have anybody else request for time off that week.
We will have the cork board upstairs be for employee of the month and for gold stars!

We have added a price increase to most of our services and products. Please check the prices and be mindful of the changes when quoting prices. We have tacked on a $2 clerical fee to the Oakland county licenses as well.
Please keep “Fear Free” in the back of your mind when your seeing, handling, talking to patients. Also try to correlate vaccines, bloodwork, hwt for our fearful patients so they do not have to come in as often!! Try to minimize their visits to twice a year if possible.
Technicians/assistants: please double check the vaccine sticker to make sure the doctor did not miss anything that is due!! Please be their double check system.
We have changed the estimates to print only one copy. Please use that copy to put in the patients file. You can ask the owner if they’d like a copy e-mailed to them. If so, then email them a copy.
We are going to try to have more meetings!! The only way to realistically make that happen is to have multiple meetings within the departments. There will be two reception meetings :1/23 and 1/25 so receptionists please be sure you make it to one of the meetings. It will be during lunch. Make sure to bring your lunch that day. We will need a team member to work in reception during their meetings.
Technician/assistants: your meetings will be 1/15 and 1/18. Make sure you make it to one of the meetings. It will be during lunch. Make sure to bring your lunch that day.
Due to popular demand, we are bringing back the gold stars! We will still have an employee of the month as well. Please make an effort to keep the gold stars conversations as positive as possible. The gold stars are meant to be a positive thing and a way to recognize team members!! Please recognize a team member and give them a gold star if you see them doing something outstanding!! Please keep any negative comments to yourself and please do not be offended if you do not get a gold star or if someone got a star for something you did as well! There will be no prize for the gold stars. They will be used as a recognition program. Either the gold stars or the employee of the month will be moved to the free board that is upstairs. I don’t care which is which…you tell me!?
We will have one doctor weeks in February. We will not cut hours as long as everyone can stay busy! We will make a list of things that need to be done. For example: cleaning, maintenance, and cleaning the house next door. Please be ready to jump in and be helpful to do these things that need to be done! People may be sent home if people are not staying busy and getting things done.

Receptionists: Please try very hard to slow down and triple check yourself when closing. There have been a lot of deposits that don’t add up. For instance: your care credit deposit doesn’t match what the computer says you should have or your credit card totals don’t match what the computer says you have. So please triple check your figures and if you can’t figure it out then please leave me a note stating the date and what you couldn’t figure out with the deposit so I can pick up where you left off an get it fixed. Thank you.
All spay suture removals can be made with technicians as along as that’s all it is…just a suture removal!
I need three volunteers to take January 8th off. It will only be Dr. Napiwocki seeing appointments. That is the only date as of now that I need people to take off in January. Thank you!!

I hope you are all having a good time this week and enjoying all the fun gifts! We certainly do appreciate all of you and everything you do!
Just a friendly reminder (but a serious reminder) that cell phone usage and personal conversations need to stop when a receptionist tells you there is an appointment in a room, a tech appointment is up front, when a doctor comes in to the lab or when a fellow team member needs help with something. I understand and support that there are times we need to take care of things on our phones and I understand and support the friendships here and the friendly conversation among everyone….but those things have got to stop when work needs to be done! Everyone needs to put forth an effort to get into the room to get a history, grab the tech appointment, help the doctor or fellow team member and put your conversation on hold and/or put your phone down and come back to it at lunch or down time.
