There is “Reputation Training” section on the team portal bar now.  At your convenience, please complete the training and take the quiz.  It will take a total of about 40 minutes.  You can pause it and come back to it if you get pulled away.

Our reputation is very important and keeps our business thriving!  The whole team is important to how our clients view us and will rate us.

There are “Review Handouts” next to the printer in reception.  Please attach a sheet to each client’s receipt.  Let each client know we would appreciate their feedback.  You could also let them know there is a quarterly drawing for a Kindle Fire HD!  (A little incentive)

Hi all,

So once again, thanks so much for doing a great job!!

Just another few little things to hopefully ease the work flow….

*Dr. Rutsey is to not see any appointments Thursday mornings.  She is blocked off for surgeries only from 9-3.  If a client calls with a sick pet and it needs to be seen, ask Dr. Rutsey how she wants it scheduled.

*There are two emergency slots for Dr. Rutsey on Saturdays now. (They’re 20 minute blocks in red) Those slots are to only be filled for appointments Saturday mornings.

*Please look at the schedule a day ahead of time.  If you see that it is a crazy busy surgery day, please bring your lunch.  Those may be the days that you have to eat on the fly.  Please try to eat your lunch between 12 and 1.  Eating your lunch later is I’m sure tough for you, and also isn’t great for the schedule because appointments start coming in, patients are recovering and cleaning up, charges, etc. need to be done.

*Please be mindful of where you need to be and what tasks need to be done.  If you know a doctor is in a room, please be there for when she gets out of a room to help her with what she needs.

*Communication is key!  If you ever feel overwhelmed, need help or simply just need a breather, please let me know.  I am more than willing to help out and be an extra pair of hands whenever you need me.  I may not know you need help so please speak up and ask.  As we all know, our patients and clients come first, so we all need to work together:):)

reminder

Hi all,

This is just a friendly reminder about a few things…….

*Make sure you date all fluid bags.  Throw anything out that is 3 days old.

*Make sure you are following through with everything for surgeries and hospitalized patients. (Homecare sheets, charges, cage cards, pull iv’s, etc)

*Make sure all admittance forms for surgeries, dentals, hospitalized patients are filled out completely before the morning of checking them in.

*We are welcoming Jenna onto the team!!  She graduated in ’07 from Macomb and is a LVT. Please make her feel welcome and work together to help train her and ease her into the work flow.

*Dawns last day is July 5th.  We will miss her but wish her well!

I know we have had a few crazy days where some of the things either just got overlooked or there just wasn’t enough time in the day!!!  If that’s the case, please work as a team to make sure everything gets done.

With all that being said, everyone is REALLY doing a GREAT job!  We have been crazy busy and we appreciate all you do:):)

dinner

Dinner will be at 7pm Thursday, June 13th at Tequilaritas in Milford. We are closing at 6pm that night. (Remember that for your discharges).

special orders

Hi all,

We are getting a huge amount of special orders.  Please refer people to our online store for these products. I don’t mind ordering these things at all but I am having to place orders on a daily basis and with doing that we are charged shipping on each order and in the long run costing us more money to do that.  I will try to keep the common foods and medications that I’m placing special orders for in stock so that it will be available to those clients and patients. Thanks!

New clients  can input all their info in our website and it will get e-mailed to our hospital e-mail account.  So double check our email if a new client comes in.  I have had a couple clients get a little upset when I ask for all their info because they already did it all online.

sedative

Hey,

We are no longer going to offer an oral sedative to go home at no cost for spays and neuters.  I took it off the treatment plans.  If the owner wants a sedative they can still get one, but will need to pay for it.  We will honor any old treatment plans that included the sedative at no fee.

Ace Promazine is no longer available, so we want to hold onto what we do have.  We will have to get it compounded when we run out of what we have.  It will be more expensive then for us and our clients.
