OSHA Update

OSHA has recently made some changes and requires a meeting to be held to inform all employess of what these changes are.  We’ll have a meeting on December 5th to go over these changes and address anything else that we need to.  Bring any questions, concerns or ideas!  See you then!

11/8/13

Hi everyone,

Please hand in any time off requests for December to me by early next week.  I will be working on the December schedule.

Everyone picked their secret santa so we need to figure out what we want to do for our Christmas party! We need to come up with a date and a plan.  Any ideas??

I know things have been hectic and everyone has a big work load but please slow down when entering charges to make sure you have selected the right doctor and all charges, meds, etc have been entered under the right patient.

One more thing!

I will be gone from October 20th-25th.  I’ll miss you all but I’ll be spending some “magical” time with my family.

I will try to place a big order the week before I leave so you will not run out of anything.  I will leave numbers for our distributors just in case you need to order anything.

I have added the general e-mail account to our online store.  All prescriptions that need approval will go to that.  Please check that daily and have Dr. Putt approve/deny all prescriptions that come through the e-mail.

Events

Hello,

We are offering free Halloween pictures! Dr. Putt will be taking Halloween pictures of pets dressed up in costumes on Saturday, October 26th.  We will vote on the best dressed and they will receive a gift basket.  We will get their free picture to them the following week.  We will have room four all set up with a back drop for the pics.  We are only doing pictures by appointment….no walk ins if we can at all help it.

Thursday, December 5th will be our memorial service.  We will close around 4ish so we can get everything all set up and have a service from 5-7??  Time is still to be determined.  We will have the Christmas tree up front and people can put decorations on the tree in memory of their pet and they can light a candle in memory of their pet too.  Dr. Rutsey is sending out a letter to all our clients who have lost pets to be a part of the memorial service.  We are also getting everyone a small gift.  Maybe a seed packet or something small.

Amazing job everyone!!!

Hi all,

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted anything.  Sorry!  It’s been a little crazy.  I just want everyone to know what a great job you all are doing!  It’s been kind of hectic since we are down a team member.  We’re almost there….three more weeks and our team should be all together again.

Jaci- You are such a hard worker!!  Everything you do does not go unnoticed.  To walking the patients, organizing the drawers, being such a team player on busy surgery days and your amazing upbeat personality is such a huge asset. Thank you!

Jenna-You have picked everything up so quickly!  You have been doing an amazing job on crazy busy surgery days, in outpatient and with doing extra jobs around the clinic.  You are very thorough and take amazing care of the patients.  Thank you for all your hard work!

Beth-You have such great ideas and you are full of amazing knowledge!  You have done so many amazing things and have helped out so much.  All the clients love you and so do all of us!  Thank you for being you!

Carolann-Wow sista! Great job on being thrown into the mix!  Sink or swim….you are definitely swimming.  You have been great.  You are a team player.  You offer to help out and we appreciate it! Thanks!

Dianna-You always have a lot going on but you come in here and do an amazing job!  You have so much knowledge and we appreciate all you do!

Remember next Tuesday the 15th we are going out to dinner at The Cheesecake Factory in Novi around 5:30-6ish.  We are treating Dr. Putt to dinner and celebrating our year anniversary!  Yay!

Please let me know if you need any time off in November.

Great job everyone on staying on top of everything!  I mean it when I say you are all amazing individuals so as a team you are all SERIOUSLY SUPERSTARS!

The September schedule is done and posted.  Please check it out and let me know if any changes need to be made.  We are welcoming Carolann to the team.  We are happy she is here! Please make her feel at home:)

We are down an employee while Jaci is off in Europe enjoying her honeymoon these next few weeks.  So please lend an extra hand and be extra aware of things that need to be done. Thanks!

Hello,

For the Pet Supplies Plus accounts, please put all charges in for all services for any animal that is seen. Please put the charges in at normal price.  I will go through and take care of changing prices as needed.

All employee pet charges need to go under Dr. Putt regardless of who saw your pet.

Make sure any product that is taken off the shelf for hospital use (ex-shampoo, lean treats, EN) gets put on to the hospital account at normal price.  Only use this account for in-hospital use.

There is an account now for non-client over the counter sales.  The last name is Sales then there are two pets “Canine and “Feline”. Please use this account only for all non-client sales other than euthanasias, still use the euthanasia account for those.

If you have a work related injury that is an emergency you need to go to Huron Valley, if it is not a true emergency, then you will need to go to St. Joseph Mercy Urgent Care off of Highland Rd.  The info is upstairs in the first storage room in the Underwriters folder.

7/25 Memo

I have downloaded a few dental handouts onto our computer in the lab.  It is on the desktop and labeled “Dental Handouts”.  Look through them and use them as needed.

As you all know, Sarah will be going on maternity leave in September.  We will miss her but I’m sure she will enjoy her mommy time!  Please let me know if you need any time off between September and November as soon as you know.  Thanks!

Keep up the great work!!  Jenna has been  a great addition to our already amazing staff.  The team work between everyone has been great!  We appreciate each of you:)
